Love Comes Close is the debut full length from Cold Cave. Written and recorded in Philadelphia in 2008-09, the album was released by Heartworm Press and then re-released by Matador Records just as the band was beginning its foray into cult status. Late night bedroom dark anthems for isolated dreamers with nods to the early years of synth pop and experimentation a la The Human League, Throbbing Gristle and New Order. Along with the title track, songs like "Life Magazine," "Heaven Was Full" and "Youth and Lust" went on to become live staples with their equal measures of romance and nihilism. Remastered and cut by Bob Weston at Chicago Mastering Service. Pressed on red & white butterfly vinyl.
